A 40 plus bed unit that provides care to a variety of childhood disease processes some of which include Orthopedics, Surgical, Gastrointestinal, Neurological, Endocrinology, Oncology and general pediatrics. As a registered nurse working in this environment you gain the opportunity to care for a wide variety of pediatric medical issues. Our facility provides the Pediatric registered nurses, the opportunity to obtain Pediatric certification and Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Certification as well as Bio-therapy Certification. This position is for a Full-Time Night Shift opening. The hours will be from 7pm-7:30am and will require 3 shifts per week, with holidays and weekend shifts on a rotation. You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool and enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential as well as an 18% night shift differential! POSITION SUMMARY 9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
