About Tanana Valley Clinic Tanana Valley Clinic (TVC) has provided state-of-the-art medical services to the Fairbanks Community and Interior Alaska for over 50 years. POSITION SUMMARY This position is a member of a care team that provides and coordinates medical, surgical and other specialty care to patients under the auspices of a supervising physician or the supervising physicians agent in various settings. This position will provide patient assessments through patient exams, patient medical history, interpretation of required diagnostic procedures, and developing/implementing treatment and management plans, and provide teaching activities to residents all under the supervising physician or supervising physicians agent.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. NCCPA certification required. Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills. Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management. Must have sufficient experience, confidence, and judgment to function with little outside direction. Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification. Requires personal DEA license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree preferred. Experience in clinical setting including supervision is preferred. ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation certifications desirable.
