OBGYN Midwife

NJ Best Obgyn has immediate openings for a Women's Health Midwife. New hire will be responsible for providing mainly Obstetric and Gynecological care in an obgyn office and hospital deliveries. Will work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. Also performs physical examinations, confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to assure smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. Other job duties include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities and Duties

• Evaluates women at all life stages by conducting comprehensive or episodic health assessment. Acute and/or chronic health problems that may include psycho social, cognitive and personal assets and limitations of the patient/family, with an emphasis on wellness.
• Health management during pregnancy- full scope of prenatal care including, preconception care, prenatal care and post pregnancy care.
• Provides adolescent health care
• Wellness Woman exams
• Breast Cancer screening and problem evaluation
• Pap smears, HPV screening
• Consults with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
• Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department to assure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service.
• Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols.
• Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice.
• Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Masters in Nursing (NP), or PA completion certification and current NJ license
