Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group is seeking a board certified/eligible child abuse physician or board certified pediatrician with child abuse training and experience for a full time position. The medical director will be responsible for providing in-patient consultative services to pediatric victims of abuse in all areas of the hospital. The medical director of the centers will provide leadership in assuring safety, appropriateness and quality of services provided by the Medical Center.
The medical director will be a member of and work in coordination with the division of community pediatrics to develop and implement education for pediatric residents and medical students in child abuse and neglect. Research opportunities exist but are not central to the position.
The successful candidate will have completed a fellowship in child abuse or will have at least five years of extensive experience in child abuse assessment, outstanding collaborative skills and a strong interest in multidisciplinary work and community outreach.
