Weill Cornell Medicine’s (WCM) Department of Psychiatry in conjunction with NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Pediatrician for a full-time position with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center in White Plains, New York. The Pediatrician would work with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate and address the medical needs of children and adolescents on the inpatient psychiatry service. Responsibilities include conducting medical evaluations and consultations; reviewing the inpatient and relevant records and lab reports; ordering lab and other tests; ordering medications; and discussing consults with the ordering Psychiatrist as needed. Other responsibilities include reading EKGs and co-signing nurse practitioner (NP) history and physical exam documents. The Pediatrician is available for informal consultation with psychiatrists, medicine NPs, and medical staff and collaborates with medicine subspecialists. All Weill Cornell Medicine faculty contribute to the education and training of psychiatry residents, medical students, and trainees in other disciplines.
In addition to inpatient responsibilities, the Pediatrician would provide outpatient evaluation and management for patients in the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain.
Requirements: Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and possess or be eligible for a New York State Medical license.
