Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, Minnesota, provides award-winning care to the communities northeast of the Twin Cities. 24 beds: 3 teams; Team A - 8 rooms, Team B - 8 rooms and Team C - 7 rooms.
The trauma room stands alone, Team Nursing model
Multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies.
Care delivery team: Board Certified/Eligible ED physicians, RNs, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, 4 patients per RN.
The scope of practice extends from a patients entry into the emergency room and continues from triage through discharge. Care is centered on patients and families experiencing acute or chronic, actual or potential physical or psychosocial problems. Unique to emergency nursing are processes that require resuscitation and/or stabilization.
The Patient Care Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager in the day to day operations in the Emergency Department at Fairview Lakes Hospital. This position includes supervision of personnel and projects as delegated, including but not limited to hiring, discipline, and performance evaluations.
.7 FTE or 56 hours per pay period, exempt
The position is primarily evening with rare hours on nights for staff visibility purposes

Supervises staff on the patient care unit
Assists in managing the day-to-day or shift-to shift operations
Focuses on patients and other customers

Assists with managing fiscal operations of the unit
Collaborates with nursing and provider leadership to implement and evaluate standards of practice
Collects and analyzes quality data and utilizes process improvement methodology to ensure delivery of safe and quality patient care

Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field
MN RN License
3 years of experience in related clinical setting
Of the 3 years required nursing experience, at least one of which in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.
At least one year experience in Intermediate/Progressive Care or Intensive Care Unit
