Description Your Role: Our Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse typical shift includes caring for high-risk maternal fetal medicine patients to low-risk midwife patients. Vanderbilt Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses provide comfort measures and support to mothers who have suffered intrauterine fetal death (IUFD), assist in vaginal delivery and recovery, participate as members of the obstetrical emergency team, care for high-risk antepartum patients, triage outpatients, and circulate in the operating room for cesarean birth and fetal surgery.
