The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah is seeking an experienced Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician to join the faculty in providing exceptional clinical care, teaching and research. The Hospitalist will provide coverage on all general inpatient teams at Primary Children’s Hospital (PCH) and at other practice facilities. Initially, 90% of the clinical practice will be at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo with 10% clinical time at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. Additionally, the Hospitalist will be closely involved in the planning, opening and staffing of a second Primary Children’s Hospital in Lehi, Utah. This site is scheduled to open in 2024. The Hospitalist will also be actively involved in medical student and resident teaching in the inpatient setting. In addition to clinical service and education, there is an expectation for academic work, including investigation, administration as well as advocacy. The qualified candidate must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Pediatrics. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
