We are seeking a dynamic Pediatrician, Family Medicine, or Med-Peds physician to be a leader of the Mount Sinai Pediatrics School Based Programs located in East Harlem who will become part of a healthcare team that puts our families first.  As the Medical Director, you will provide direct patient care, oversee financial reports, write grant reports and lead QI projects in a multidisciplinary setting.  You will also lead a dynamic team that works to reduce health care inequities in East Harlem.  You will have access to educational venues at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai including weekly Pediatric Grand Rounds, biweekly school team meetings as well leadership meetings. The Mount Sinai Health System has access to every pediatric subspecialist.  Opportunities for creating programs focusing on improving HPV vaccine rates, contraception, decreasing asthma ER visits and mental health access exist as well as teaching medical students and residents.

Since 1983 the Mount Sinai School Based Clinic Program has had a presence in the community. We currently operate 11 school based clinics of which 5 are overseen by the Pediatric School Based Program. 

 SUMMARY

We are seeking a committed, energetic doctor who shares our vision to reduce health care disparities and has a background in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, or family medicine. Applicants should have a strong interest in medical education. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

1)      MD or DO from an accredited program

2)      Successful completion of a Pediatric ACGME approved or family medicine residency and must be     

          competent with caring for children from 3 -21 years of age and providing reproductive care.

3)      New York Medical License

4)      Board certified/Board Eligible

5)      Meet eligibility requirements for an academic appointment to the Medical School

6)      Bilingual Spanish is a plus
