Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas is seeking a BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to join a highly dedicated team of healthcare professionals.  The Child Abuse Resource and Evaluation Team, under the medical direction of Dr. Raquel Vargas-Whale , is supported by an experienced team of, Licensed Master’s-Level Social Workers, Forensic Nurse examiners and administrative office assistants. 

The Child Abuse Pediatrician will be responsible for providing medical forensic evaluations and consultations and have strong clinical skills.  There are opportunities for teaching residents and medical students through an affiliations with Texas A&M University Health Science Center and the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley.   

The qualified candidate will be certified or board eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics and American Board of Pediatrics, will be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
