Applications are invited for a full-time faculty position to join the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Applicants will be joining faculty in a well-established program in the Capital Region of New York at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. The Children’s Hospital serves over 740,000 children and young adults from 25 counties in upstate New York, southern Vermont and western Massachusetts and is the only specialty clinic of its kind in the region. The faculty hold academic appointments at the Albany Medical College and actively participate in teaching of residents and medical students daily. We see more than 4000 outpatient visits in the clinics annually, including satellite locations, with patients representing the entire spectrum of rheumatologic diagnoses. We are members of CARRA and participate in funding initiatives through this organization. This program is unique in that the Chair of Pediatrics is also an active clinical member of the Division.
Albany Med Health System is a large academic Medical Center in Albany, New York, the state capital. It is a level I Trauma Center and the regional hub for all adult and pediatric specialties. The Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital, which houses a 60 bed Level 4 NICU, 19 bed PICU, and a state-of-the-art Pediatric Emergency Department, is the site of inpatient care rendered by the division.
