Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity Where Great Adventure Begins!
We are seeking pediatric hospitalists for our pediatric hospital medicine service in a community hospital setting in southeast Idaho. Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is a regional medical center which draws patients from eastern Idaho, western Wyoming, and southern Montana.

6-Bed Pediatric ICU
10-bed Pediatric unit
26-bed Level III Neonatal ICU
1200 deliveries per year
The role of a pediatric hospitalist at EIRMC includes caring for medical patients on the Pediatric Unit, consulting on pediatric patients in the emergency department, consulting on surgical patients, and caring for newborn infants who do not require NICU-level care. Pediatric physician staff include both pediatric intensivists and neonatologists as part of the Pediatrix team. At EIRMC there are additional pediatric sub-specialists representing pediatric neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, surgery, and anesthesia. The hospital staff includes a child life specialist, pediatric nutritionists, and physical therapists. The staff are very in-tuned with delivering care within a family-center environment.
EIRMC has an active family medicine residency in its second year of existence, with residents rotating through the inpatient pediatric and newborn care services. There is an opportunity for faculty appointment with the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, if desired. There are growth opportunities for the pediatric hospitalist within the areas of quality and process improvement projects, and clinical research of a unique patient population.
Idaho Falls is the largest city in the Eastern Idaho region and is the second-largest metropolitan area in the state. Nestled among the Rocky Mountains in the Snake River Plain, beneath the shadow of the Grand Teton, Idaho Falls is a place worth exploring. The Idaho Falls Regional Airport has easy connections to both Salt Lake City and Denver airports for national and international travel. Both Grand Teton National park and the Yellowstone National Park are a 2-hour drive away.
