Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks full time BC or BE Pediatricians to join a strong team providing quality pediatric care at AnMed Health in Anderson, SC.

Details:

• Responsibilities include providing inpatient and newborn services for infants and children, rounding in a level II nursery, stabilization of critically ill newborns and children while awaiting transfer, and providing coverage for high-risk deliveries.
• The position is supported by pediatric subspecialists at the regional Children’s Hospital via local telemedicine and satellite clinics.
• Candidates should have an interest in teaching, as the AnMed hospitalist service provides education to medical students, as well as family medicine residents.
• The position will include a teaching appointment with the Medical University of South Carolina at the assistant professor level.
• Family medicine residents also participate in providing care on the hospitalist and newborn services. The newborn service has 1,500 deliveries annually, along with 300 admissions to the level II nursery and 300 to the pediatric inpatient unit.
