The Pediatric Institute of Emory University and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta have committed to enhancing food allergy care and research under the leadership of Dr. Brian Vickery by establishing the Emory + Children's Food Allergy Center in 2018. Our site is a Clinical Research Center of Distinction within the FARE Clinical Network and aims for continued growth as a regional and national leader in food allergy in the coming years. The academic home of the Food Allergy Center is within the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy/Immunology, Cystic Fibrosis, and Sleep (PACS) in the Emory University Department of Pediatrics. We are now recruiting a full-time, board-certified allergist/immunologist at the Assistant or the Associate Professor level to join the PACS division and the Food Allergy Center as an Allergy/Immunology clinician and researcher.
Protected time for research will be provided for three years, with the expectations that by the end of this start-up phase the candidate will successfully establish extramural funding supporting 50-75% of his or her effort. Candidates who already have extramural funding are eligible to apply. It is expected that the successful candidate will develop his or her own independent research program that aligns with the mission of the Center, expands our research capabilities into new thematic directions, and advances the food allergy field. There are also opportunities to participate in, design, and lead interventional clinical trials as principal or co-investigator. Clinical research training programs, including an institutional KL2 program and those leading to a masters' degree, are available via Emory and the Georgia CTSA.
In addition to these academic and scholarly efforts, the successful candidate will become an active member of the pediatric allergy/immunology clinical care team, managing routine allergy problems, severe asthma, more complex cases involving multiple food allergies in the setting of atopic dermatitis and/or eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, as well as some immunology patients. We are committed to advancing the careers of our fellows and other learners at all stages through teaching and mentorship activities that include oversight of research projects and quality improvement. Inpatient coverage of our consult service is shared with other faculty.

Board certification in Pediatrics preferred though Internal Medicine certification is acceptable. Candidates should be currently board-certified or board-eligible in Allergy/Immunology. Rank and competitive salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits are provided.
