Kentucky Children’s Hospital (KCH) and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking one full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to join our outstanding physician group in Lexington, KY. We are recruiting faculty to the Division of Hospital Pediatrics in roles that are perfectly suited for motivated and energetic clinician-educators. While initially these roles will be highly clinical with concurrent resident and medical student education, we have great ability to mold the position into something that will suit your ultimate career goals. Clinical care is limited to inpatient pediatrics with no newborn nursery coverage.
Our division is currently staffed by 15 faculty with clinician educator roles in the College of Medicine, and we are integrally involved in multiple residency training programs including categorical pediatrics, medicine-pediatrics, pediatrics-psychiatry-child psychiatry, and child neurology. Our vision for the next five years includes starting a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship program, as well as fostering partnerships with additional community hospitals.
Qualified candidates must be board certified or board eligible in General Pediatrics with a strong commitment to clinical care and medical education. Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is not required for these positions. The position offers a competitive salary with productivity bonus potential, as well as an excellent benefits package, including 2:1 employer matched retirement funding. An academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics in the University of Kentucky College of Medicine will be based on level of experience.
Kentucky Children’s Hospital is a regional children’s hospital physically located within a larger academic medical center in the Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky, primarily servicing central, southern, and eastern Kentucky.
