Western Colorado Pediatrics has an opening for a Full-Time Pediatrician. The responsibility of this position is to provide medical care that is personal, continuous, cost-effective, and of high quality.

The practice is an independent, physician owned pediatrics practice located in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Our group is currently composed of 10 Pediatricians and 4 Advanced Practitioners. We have a large outpatient practice, but also take care of inpatients and newborns at our local hospital. We are a group of board certified pediatricians who are committed to quality and innovation. This practice has been in existence since 1975 and has an excellent reputation in the community. We are mission driven, take all insurances.

Grand Junction is the largest town in Western Colorado, located in Mesa County which is midway between Denver and Salt Lake City, and has a population of around 120,000 people and services 180,000 in the greater market. We are located in the Colorado River valley and are central to great outdoor opportunities including world-­class mountain biking, hiking, climbing, hunting, fishing, rafting, and skiing. We are the fruit growing center of Colorado, which is also a very large wine producing region and home to numerous art and music festivals. Plus there are several national parks within driving distance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care to newborns, children and teens under 19 years of age in the outpatient setting and in the hospital, both the newborn nursery and pediatric floor, but ­not ICU care, at the local medical center. 
• Performs pediatric procedures based on skill set, such as sutures, fracture care, circumcisions, subdermal contraceptive devices
• Provides evidence based medical care
• Educates family medicine residents and students both in the office and in the hospital
• Works with and directs clinical staff on triage, care management, and refill requests
• Administrative opportunities to participate in various clinical task forces

Work Experience:

New resident graduates and experienced physicians welcome.

Education Requirements:

Licensed physician in good standing, pediatric board-certified or board-eligible.
