Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician to join their team of 75 + providers, working at our 5 Pediatric Hospitalist locations in the greater Charlotte area. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a community setting as the Pediatric resource, attending deliveries and providing care in a level 2 nursery as well as working at the region’s premier children’s hospital with exposure to a wide range of inpatient cases.
Position details:
Schedule consisting of 8-9 shifts/month at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital, and 7-8 shifts/month providing 24/7 regional coverage at Atrium Health Lincoln.
Weekend coverage 1 out of every 2.6 weekends on average
This will be an inpatient role, with an average 4-6 newborns per-day at Lincoln and 12-20 patients per-day at LCH with APP support.
Lincoln coverage includes being within 30 minutes of the hospital while on-service to be available for delivery coverage. Average daily census is between 4-6 newborns/day, and may include patients in the Level II nursery. There is an NRP trained team on the ground at all times, including RN and RT support.
Qualification requirements:
BC/BE in General Pediatrics is required. BC/BE in Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred.
Experience with Lumbar Puncture, umbilical venous catheter placement, neonatal resuscitation including intubation, management of newborns on CPAP, and comfort managing progressive and complex patients required.
Experience in inpatient pediatric medicine is preferred, open to new graduates.
