Hawai‘i Pacific Health Medical Group is seeking a pediatrician interested in providing clinical hospitalists care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children.

For more than 100 years, Kapi'olani has been committed to providing exceptional care to Hawaii's women and children. Under the supervision of board-certified Neonatologists, the hospitalists provide direct patient care for all NICU patient populations. The role of the hospitalist includes primary data gathering and physical assessment, participation in rounds with formulation of plans and direct communication with families on a daily basis. Hospitalists are expected to become proficient in procedures, including airway management, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, basic ECMO management and ventilator management. This position includes affiliation with the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine. Candidates would join a close and collaborative 35-member division, including Hospitalists, Nurse Practitioners and Neonatologists, staffing a new 74-bed single room NICU, providing the highest quality of care to newborn infants in Hawaii and the Pacific Region. Candidates should be Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatrics.
