The Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at Weill Cornell Medicine/Komansky Children’s Hospital is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a full-time (1.0 FTE) pediatric palliative care nurse practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team, beginning Spring 2025.

We are looking for an exceptional nurse practitioner who is passionate about pediatric palliative care and eager to work in a deeply collaborative environment.
Our team delivers outstanding, evidence-based, and family-centered care to children across the hospital, working in close partnership with local hospice agencies to ensure seamless, supportive transitions home whenever needed. PACT serves patients throughout Weill Cornell Medicine/Komansky Children’s Hospital, including the pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, inpatient medical/surgical wards, and the pediatric burn unit.
The ideal candidate for this role:
Holds an NP degree with certification and licensure in New York (or eligibility)
Brings experience in pediatric palliative care and a deep commitment to this field.
Demonstrates outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with families and primary/specialty teams.
Is experienced and comfortable with advanced pain and symptom management.
Is enthusiastic about teaching core palliative care skills to learners at all levels.
Has an interest in research and contributing to scholarly work in the field of pediatric palliative care.
Thrives in an interdisciplinary environment and is excited to help shape a growing program.

The Department of Pediatrics provides comprehensive care to children throughout the 5 boroughs via a State-of-the-Art Level IV NICU, level III PICU, General Pediatrics and multiple subspecialties at the New York Presbyterian/Phyllis and David Komansky Children’s Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine and is involved with pediatric resident and medical student education.

Salary Range:
Salary Range: $145,800.00 - $156,600.00
*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when hired for NYC Offices

NYP Komansky Children’s Hospital includes a 34-bed inpatient pediatric unit, a 23-bed PICU and a 60-Bed NICU. We work collaboratively with the NYP Center for Autism and the Developing Brain, at NYP Westchester campus, which can provide additional evaluations and interventions for patients, as well as research and educational opportunities.
