Pediatrician in Emergency Medicine with MedStar Health (Full-Time or Part-Time)
MedStar Health is currently seeking a Pediatrician to join our Emergency Department at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland.
Our pediatricians have responsibility for providing high-quality medical care to pediatric patients presenting to the emergency department and via teleconsultations to requesting MedStar Health emergency departments and urgent care locations, management of pediatric admissions (medical and surgical), and provide medical clearance via H&Ps for pediatric patients admitted to the behavioral health service. Additionally, our pediatricians provide resuscitation services to neonates, post-delivery, as needed.
MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is a 138-bed, non-profit acute care community medical center and teaching hospital with approximately 26,000 emergency room visits each year. For over 100 years, we have served as a medical care provider and community health resource offering high-quality, personalized care in a welcoming community setting. Our pediatricians cover the special care nursery (Level II NICU).
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to include health/dental, professional liability and disability insurance, and CME stipend.
Qualified candidates are eligible for up to $25,000 in a signing / retention bonus for the full-time role.
The ideal candidate will hold current Maryland licensure/eligibility and be BC/BE in pediatrics. Recent pediatric emergency department experience and skills in neonatal resuscitation following the current NRP guidelines, including intubation and line placement, management of general pediatric disorders, and stabilization prior to transport are preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with a wide array of professionals are essential. Several shift opportunities are available.

This full-time position has a hiring range of $189,000 - $292,000.
