We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time neonatal nurse practitioner, to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10 bed LDRP Level-I Nursery, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont which is scheduled to open late 2024.

About the Practice

• This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year
• An average daily census of about 5 newborns
• NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and will take call from home
• Practitioners would also stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care

°The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center- Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away

°Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible; but would not be required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery.
