Children’s Wisconsin, in partnership with theMedical College of Wisconsin, is pleased to announce exciting career opportunities. We are currently seeking a Program Director for the Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine Fellowship Program in Milwaukee and a Pediatric Hospitalist in northeastern Neenah, Wisconsin.
Provide comprehensive in-house coverage for pediatric acute care floor, nursery rounds, attend high-risk deliveries with support of 24/7 onsite NICU coverage, and infusion clinic.
Full-time physician can expect to provide 6-7 24-hour shifts per month, ensuring a work/life balance.
Work in a supportive environment alongside sub-specialists on the Milwaukee campus, with access to the Children's transport team for enhanced patient care.
Opportunity to participate in medical education. Research and QI work supported but not mandatory.
Candidate Expectations:
Outstanding clinicians dedicated to the care of hospitalized children and their families.
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Board-certified/board-eligible in General Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
Fellowship, advanced training or hospital medicine experience preferred.
PEDIATRIC HOSPITALIST MEDICINE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM DIRECTOR - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is seeking a Program Director to help lead our established, ACGME-accredited, 2-year fellowship program. Our program was started in 2020 and hosts a total of 4 fellows.
We are committed to training exceptional pediatric hospitalist fellows by providing diverse experiences leading multidisciplinary clinical teams. Our mission is to train hospitalists to be excellent clinician educators and team leaders while providing them the support, opportunities, and mentorship needed to become successful scholars in the field of pediatric hospital medicine.
Responsibilities include ongoing program management, maintenance of accreditation, curriculum development, oversight of fellows’ scholarly projects and leading the education, evaluation, and recruitment of our fellows alongside an Associate Program Director.
Candidate Expectations:
Minimum qualifications include board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Fellowship completion is strongly desirable.
Experience in research, quality improvement and medical education leadership is preferred.
Academic hospitalist clinical responsibilities include caring for in-house pediatric patients on acute care floor.
Anticipated start date is Summer 2025.
