The Northwell Transplant Institute is seeking a full-time, Abdominal Transplant Surgeon who has a strong background in Pediatric Liver Transplantation to serve as Surgical Director for Pediatric Liver Transplantation. In addition to the Transplant Institute’s comprehensive adult transplant services for heart, lung, kidney and liver, the Transplant Institute currently offers the only pediatric heart transplant program on Long Island as well as an established pediatric kidney transplant program. The successful candidate will partner with an established Pediatric Transplant Hepatology team who provide comprehensive care for children with both transplant and non-transplant liver diseases. This multidisciplinary team is based at Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center.

Ideal candidates will have:
Completed ASTS approved fellowship training in Abdominal Transplant Surgery with preferred fellowship training in Pediatric Liver Transplantation Hepatobiliary Surgery. Candidates with significant focus in pediatric abdominal transplant surgery without advanced pediatric transplant/hepatobiliary surgery fellowship may be considered.
At least 2 years post-fellowship experience
Proven track record of clinical excellence and surgical proficiency
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
