Diversity
Our DE&I Mission is, 'When everyone belongs, life is better.' We secure belonging through our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We meet everyone where they are as individuals, teams, entities, and communities. Whether you are new to our space or eager to learn more, you belong. Ours is a space of lifelong learning and we are grateful for your participation and support. At Banner, we value differences within teams and among patients to make Banner a great place to work and receive care. The scope of our DE&I work covers eight areas: supplier diversity, talent acquisition, workforce development, system-wide trainings, customized trainings, team member resource groups, patient care and language assistance services, and community benefits. Through cross-functional teams and collaboration, we advance belonging for our patients, team members, and communities.
People
The more we understand one another, the better we care for those we serve. Equity, diversity and inclusion is a commitment we take pride in. We strive to promote and cultivate a culturally rich workforce that's honored to serve, support and provide services to our diverse communities. As a non-profit, every dollar we earn is reinvested into the organization to secure new hospital beds; create and expand patient care services; develop new technologies; maintain existing equipment and facilities; provide patient charity care and pay team members' salaries.

Vision
As the leading nonprofit provider of health care in every community we serve, Banner Health is deeply committed to our mission: "Making health care easier, so life can be better." As a nonprofit, Banner Health exists to provide health care services to the communities we serve, rather than generate profits. That means that every dollar we earn is reinvested into:
- New hospital beds
- New or expanding patient care services
- New physician services
- New technologies
- Maintaining existing equipment and facilities
- Paying employees' salaries.
Banner also provides more than $153 million in charity care through our Financial Assistance Program. In addition, we subsidize the medical education costs for hundreds of medical residents (physicians in training), the majority of whom will stay in Arizona and Colorado, where they trained. Additionally, Banner provides important, free services like the Banner Poison and Drug Information Center Hotline, health information provided by registered nurses through our Banner Health Call Center, and school-based health centers for kids in economically challenged areas. Clinics throughout the Banner Health system also help the working uninsured or under-insured by providing care at a reduced or sliding-fee basis (based on income).
