Description
Nemours Childrens Health is seeking an experienced leader to become Chief of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Jacksonville, Florida.Candidates should have strong credentials in pediatric critical care medicine in addition to a demonstrated history of recruiting, mentoring, and developing a team. The selected leader will ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, family-centered critical care to pediatric patients while advancing institutional goals in education, research, and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee PICU operations including staffing, scheduling, budget management and resource allocation
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, nursing, and other departments to coordinate interdisciplinary care
- Lead performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure high standards of patient safety, quality care, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in direct patient care and serve as a role model for clinical excellence.
- Develop and implement protocols, policies, and procedures to standardize care and improve outcomes

Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board certified in area of specialty
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
