Internal Medicine / Pediatric Hospitalist – Main Campus
Phoenix Children’s and the Division of Hospital Medicine are excited to offer a truly unique opportunity for Med-Peds hospitalists interested in careers in academic hospital medicine. This position offers a flexible balance of working on both the Med-Peds Consult Service and the pediatric hospital medicine teams, with the ability to tailor distribution between services based on individual candidate interests and goals. As we continue to expand our clinical programs and advance our academic mission, we seek individuals who are passionate about leveraging their dual training to care for patients across the pediatric-to-adult age spectrum.
The Med-Peds Consult Service provides internal medicine expertise for hospitalized adult patients in a pediatric setting, working in close collaboration with medical and surgical specialists. This service also offers resources and support to assist in transitioning appropriate patients to adult providers. In addition to direct patient care, this role offers opportunities for involvement in institution-wide adult transition program development and leadership within the Med-Peds residency program. This position is ideal for Med-Peds physicians who are committed to integrating their dual training into innovative, age-appropriate models of inpatient care.
The Med-Peds Consult Service is based at our main campus and operates within the Division of Hospital Medicine. The Division of Hospital Medicine is composed of over 70 faculty across three sites and nurtures a variety of clinical, educational, quality improvement and research interests. Current recruitment efforts are focused on filling a hospitalist position at our main campus. Candidates interested in either full-time or part-time positions are encouraged to apply.
Phoenix Children’s is a freestanding children’s hospital with a level 1 trauma center and comprehensive subspecialty care. Our faculty hold academic appointments at the University of Arizona, Creighton University and Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
We invite motivated and collaborative Med-Peds providers to join the Division of Hospital Medicine and help shape the future of Med-Peds care and education in a dynamic academic environment. Med-Peds physicians with a passion for bridging the gap between pediatric and adult inpatient medicine will find this role both meaningful and professionally rewarding.
We offer competitive salary, benefits, vacation, and CME. Opportunities for career advancement are outstanding. All candidates must be general pediatric and internal medicine board eligible/certified.
