Description
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida is recruiting additional neonatologists for our rapidly expanding program. JHACH is a 259-bed teaching hospital, ranked as a U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospital in 6 pediatric specialties (2024-2025) including Neonatology. We are also ranked again as the #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida. Our team provides care at our main campus along with the several regional hospital NICUs (level II and III) within our affiliate network.
Highlights include:
- The main campus has a 97-bed, Level IV NICU and cares for a wide range of patients including the most complex.
- Positions open at affiliate sites include Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch (level II with week on/week off schedule) and Brandon/Tampa (level IIIB).
- Qualified candidates for each position are eligible for an academic appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
- JHACH has an ACGME accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program with 2 positions/year. In addition to providing clinical care, participation in medical education and research is strongly encouraged/supported.
- The neonatology provider team has a staff of roughly 75 and includes neonatologists, NICU hospitalists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants.
- Our team cares for nearly 1000 babies each year in the NICU and has expertise in treating babies with very low and extremely low birth weight.
- The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal and Neonatal Institute (MFNI) provides comprehensive care for women and babies throughout all stages of development, including specialized care for mothers with high-risk pregnancies. The MFNI seeks to improve outcomes for newborns through collaborative approaches to value-based care, beginning with the high-risk expectant mother, continuing through delivery and NICU admission, and extending beyond discharge through patient-centered cohort-based neonatal follow-up.
- JHACH offers a dynamic, innovative clinical and academic environment at our campus in St. Petersburg which benefits from research collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medicine partners based in Baltimore.
- The Tampa-St. Petersburg area is centrally located to many of Florida’s amenities, only minutes from beautiful Gulf beaches, 90 miles from Orlando and four hours from Miami.
