Description
Nemours Childrens Health in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist Advanced Noninvasive Imaging Specialist to join our growing team. This role is designed for a versatile cardiologist with expertise in advanced cross-sectional imaging (cardiac MRI and cardiac CT) to support the continued growth of our cardiac imaging program. You will have the opportunity to practice at one of the Southeasts premier childrens hospitals, serving a diverse patient population with complex congenital and acquired heart conditions.Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat congenital and acquired heart conditions in fetuses, infants, children, and adolescents.
- Perform and interpret cross-sectional imaging studies (cardiac MRI and cardiac CT) as well as noninvasive imaging studies, including advanced echocardiography (transthoracic, transesophageal, 3D, strain imaging.
- Provide collaborative imaging support for surgical and interventional planning, complex congenital heart disease, and longitudinal patient care.
- Coordinate care across specialties including cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and advanced imaging.
- Support the continued growth and innovation of the Nemours Cardiac Center at Wolfson Childrens Hospital, including MRI/CT expansion and integration of advanced imaging technologies.
- Engage in teaching and mentorship of fellows, residents, and medical students; opportunities for clinical research are available.
- MD, DO, or international equivalent (MBBS, MBChB, etc.) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology.
- Additional fellowship training or demonstrated expertise in advanced cross-sectional imaging (cardiac MRI/CT).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) or equivalent.
- Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
- Experience with advanced echocardiographic modalities and/or level II/III training in cardiac MRI/CT.
