The Department of Pediatrics at USF Morsani College of Medicine is growing its hospitalist program at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a full-time, Clinical Faculty position at Tampa General Hospital. USF is a global research university ranked by US New and World Report in 2025 as the number 1 medical school for research in Florida and in the top 16 for research in the country.
Position Overview:
- Full Time Pediatric Hospitalist with occasional newborn coverage at Muma Children's Hospital at TGH in Tampa, FL
- Duties include patient care, teaching medical students, supervising pediatric residents, and opportunities for research and quality improvement
Qualified Candidates:
- Must have experience in a hospital setting
- Board certified/eligible in General Pediatrics
- Pediatric Hospital Medicine board certification preferred, but not required
About Muma Children’s Hospital at TGH:
- In house support from PICU, NICU, pediatric EM, and nearly all pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties
- Outstanding ancillary support by Pediatric Pharmacy, Child Life Specialists, Psychology, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric respiratory therapy, pediatric therapists (OT, PT and ST) and pediatric vascular access team
- Recently renovated pediatric unit with more improvements on the way
- 10-bed PICU
- 82-bed state-of-the-art NICU
- 48 inpatient beds for general, surgical and subspecialty patients
- One of just 3 outpatient pediatric dialysis units in the state

Requirements
