Description
The Department of Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center, and home to The Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Neurologist to join our growing team. This full-time faculty position is available as part of the only academic medical center in northeastern New York. The position is open due to program growth and offers the opportunity to contribute to a strong clinical and academic environment in a collaborative setting.
Position Details:
- Full-time academic faculty role in the Department of Pediatrics
- Join a well-established Pediatric Neurology Division within a regional children’s hospital
- Contribute to a growing clinical program with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Multidisciplinary team includes:
- 3 full-time pediatric neurologist
- 3 nurse practitioners
- 3 part-time attendings
- Neuropsychologist, psychologist, and social worker
- Strong nursing and administrative support
- Opportunities for medical student and resident teaching through Albany Medical College
Competitive base salary range with incentive bonus opportunity commensurate with rank and experience (base salary range for Assistant Professor $220,000-230,000).

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Neurology
Interest in general pediatric neurology preferred
Subspecialty training in epilepsy or neuromuscular disorders welcomed
Commitment to high-quality clinical care and collaborative team-based practice
