Boston Children’s Health Physicians, LLP, a large academic, multidisciplinary pediatric group located approximately 25 miles north of New York City, is recruiting a full-time Academic Newborn Hospitalist within the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (MFCH) at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.  MFCH is a regional tertiary academic children’s hospital with a Level I Trauma Center, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Level I Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Emergency Department, and NYS DOH recognized regional child abuse and sexual abuse centers.

The Pediatric Hospitalist program is well established and works collaboratively with medical, surgical, and subspecialty services across the inpatient units and well-baby nursery. During all shifts, hospitalists lead interdisciplinary teams that include pediatric residents, medical students, and nursing staff, providing care within a family-centered model. All positions include resident supervision and medical student and resident teaching.

The primary clinical responsibility of this position is teaching and rounding in the Level I Well Baby Nursery. This role does not include delivery attendance or neonatal resuscitation. The position offers a predictable schedule with some weekend coverage and is designed to support a sustainable work–life balance.

Full-time faculty will receive an academic appointment at New York Medical College, with opportunities for academic advancement. Preference will be given to candidates with strong clinical skills, experience in pediatric inpatient care with a focus on newborn medicine, and board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for or holding an unrestricted New York State medical license
• DEA registration
• PALS certification
