Description
The Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at The University of Oklahoma Health in Oklahoma City is seeking BC/BE pediatricians to join our team as we grow our capacity to care for Oklahoma’s children. Applicants should have a record of strong clinical skills working with a diverse and complex patient population and a desire to work collaboratively in an environment of student, resident, and fellow education.
Clinical Environment:
Clinical practice occurs at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, a freestanding not for profit 348 bed tertiary care referral center with approximately 14,000 total admissions per year. Onsite pediatric ED, PICU, CVICU, and NICU units provide robust medical and surgical subspecialty support. PHM coverage does not include newborn nursery/delivery room however circumcision and moonlighting opportunities exist. Additionally, we will provide consultative support to a new onsite 72 bed inpatient Behavioral Health Center opening in December 2026.
Position Details:
Full time is 1800 hrs/year. Clinical work includes day, night, and transfer center admitting officer shifts. Faculty appointments available through The University of Oklahoma Health College of Medicine. Regular interaction with medical students, residents, and fellows. PHM board certification/eligibility not required for hiring though is welcome.
