Position Summary
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM) seek a Part-Time or Full-Time, non-tenure-eligible Health System Clinician in the Division of Hospital Based Medicine Outreach. The position will be employed by the Lurie Children’s Medical Group (LCMG) and part of the Operating Unit of Pediatrics.
The individual’s clinical responsibilities include coverage of attending on the inpatient pediatric service. This activity will include care and consultation for pediatric inpatients at either Franciscan Health Crown Point Hospital, La Rabida Children’s Hospital or NM Central DuPage Hospital.
All faculty members are expected to participate in the educational programs of the Department and FSM, which may include teaching service, training, preceptorship, mentoring, etc. Additionally, all Lurie Children’s faculty members are expected to attend certain divisional and Departmental meetings and engage in other administrative duties as determined by the Division Head. Advocacy work on behalf of patients, families, and the community we serve is an important component of LCMG’s and Lurie Children’s mission. It is expected that all faculty members support important initiatives in this area.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be board certified or board eligible. The candidate must also be licensed in the State of Illinois to practice without restriction. In addition, the candidate will be required to obtain medical staff membership and privileges at Lurie Children’s and any other required health care institution, complete credentialing by managed care organizations and complete certain Human Resources employment processes, including providing proof ability to lawfully work in the United States, a pre-employment background check, employee health screening, and receipt of satisfactory professional references if requested.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
Base Salary Range: $185,000-$256,000
The displayed pay range represents base pay targets using designated benchmarks, which are reviewed annually. Individual salary will be determined by years in rank, experience, demand within the specialty, additional training, extramural funding, and strength of publication history. Other compensation opportunities vary but may include mission-based, clinical, research, and academic incentives or additional compensation for leadership roles in line with the respective compensation plan.
