Coverage at two level 1 nurseries in Milwaukee, WI

Responsibilities include rounding on the newborn well babies in the nursery

Shifts include flexible daily scheduling, generally 8a-4pm with expectation to be available by phone once daily rounding complete 

Part time 0.5FTE = 1 week (including weekend) of coverage per month

One week of service to include home night call per month

No expectation to cover deliveries

Circumcisions not required but available if desired

Neonatology available for backup clinical support and consults 

Requirements

WI license 

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent

Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics 

Maintain NRP certification

Establishment of S-Corp similar to other Newborn Care Physician members and provide own medical malpractice insurance  

About Us

Newborn Care Physicians (NCP) is a large private newborn medicine and neonatology practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with 22 neonatologists and 4 newborn hospitalists.  We staff a total of 6 level III, 7 level II NICUs and 3 level 1 nurseries throughout southeastern Wisconsin. 

We are looking to expand our group to continue to provide comprehensive newborn care for well babies in the nursery.  We are seeking to hire a general pediatrician to provide newborn care within several of the nurseries in greater Milwaukee as a part of Newborn Care Physicians.
