Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo is currently seeking a full-time physician to join our team as part of our partnership with ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital.
The successful candidate will join two full-time pediatric endocrinologists, nurse practitioners and multidisciplinary staff consisting of nurses, a dietician, medical assistants, social workers, and clerical support. The candidate will provide inpatient consultation to pediatricians and pediatric sub specialists, the NICU, PICU, and Emergency Department, and general outpatient pediatric endocrinology services. The position includes teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students. The services provided will primarily take place on the ProMedica campus as part of our collaborative efforts to increase local access to care. The candidate will have the unique opportunity to work with our local non-profit organization, Diabetes Youth Services, to support patients, families, and provide education.
Candidates will be able to collaborate and participate in the educational conferences and meetings with faculty in the Division of Endocrinology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital located in Columbus, Ohio. The Division has comprehensive programs covering the full range of endocrine disorders, including sub-specialty clinics for: Type 2 Diabetes, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Adrenal Disorders, disorders of sex development, Pituitary Gland Disorders, Metabolic Bone Disease, and others. There are also several multi-disciplinary clinics covering a variety of conditions with endocrine related co-morbidities.
Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology and eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) are both acceptable credentials.
