Description
Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking Pediatric Hospitalists to join our experienced and growing team of regional providers.
Hospitalists working at regional locations are employees of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Full-time (eight 24-hour shifts per month) and part-time positions are available. Responsibilities of the Pediatric Hospitalist within a level I nursery would include attendance at high-risk deliveries & C-sections, admissions, and daily rounding on patients in the nursery and well-baby (mother/infant) unit. Procedures would include, but are not limited to, intubation, insertion of umbilical lines, circumcisions, chest tube/needle decompressions, and neonatal resuscitation.
Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics, NRP certified, patient-centered, and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in pediatric care. Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is not required. The position offers a competitive salary, a generous sign-on bonus and excellent benefits package.
The program provides comprehensive onboarding that will include neonatal simulation time, 4 – 6 weeks of proctored shifts with hospitalists at regional sites, and ongoing education in the skills and procedures required for this position.
