Pediatric Physician

Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), a 530-bed Level I Trauma Center and safety-net hospital serving Nassau County, is seeking a Pediatric Attending Physician to join our Department of Pediatrics.

The Pediatric Attending will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient pediatric care, supervise residents and medical students, and contribute to the academic mission of our teaching hospital. The ideal candidate is committed to serving a diverse patient population and improving child health outcomes in a public hospital setting.

In this role, you will:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
• Supervise and teach pediatric residents and medical students
• Participate in pediatric call coverage schedule
• Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Participate in departmental academic and educational activities

We require:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure
• Strong clinical, teaching, and communication skills
• Prior experience in academic or hospital-based pediatrics preferred
