IMA Pediatrics is seeking a Part-Time (with opportunity to become Full-Time) experienced, energetic & personable BC/BE Pediatrician to join our outstanding healthcare team. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for pediatrics and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children & adolescents; building trusting relationships with families; and collaborating with a supportive clinical team. Excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgement and a warm, engaging approach to patient care are essential.
IMA Pediatrics is part of Integrated Medicine Alliance (IMA), one of Monmouth County’s premiere medical groups since 1994. Our Physicians work closely with advanced care practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care. This position is located within our Red Bank Family Medicine/IMA Pediatrics location on Maple Avenue in Red Bank, NJ.
Requirements
Education:
- Doctorate (Required): MD or DO
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current, unrestricted/active Medical License in the state of New Jersey.
- Current DEA/CDS registration.
- Must be Board-certified or Board-eligible by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Must be insurable for liability as a Pediatrician.
Experience:
- Completion of Pediatric Residency program or greater.
- Experience working in Primary Care Pediatrics or Pediatric Care center.
- Experience with health IT systems required, and Intergy EHR preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities/ Minimum Qualifications/ Skills:
- Conduct thorough examinations on newborns and young children, monitor development & provide anticipatory guidance to caregivers.
- Acute injury/illness management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive high-quality care and thoughtful follow-up to patients and families.
- Utilize diagnostic testing, labs, imaging & other modalities for proper evaluation & workup.
- Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and comprehensive medical history.
- Prescribe medications, give detailed instructions for administration, and monitor response & side effects.
- Familiarity with traditional and web-based prescription systems.
- Prepare and administer vaccines according to the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations.
- Advise/ educate parents & patients on health maintenance strategies such as diet, sleep hygiene, exercise, and disease prevention measures.
- Maintain working knowledge of basic primary care principles, theory and practice, and ability to stay current with recent developments and advancements in pediatric medicine.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of children’s epidemiology and infectious diseases.
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communications skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type:
- Part-time (2-3 weekdays + one ½ day weekend shift/month).
- Schedule: 8:30am-4:30pm weekdays, 8am-12pm weekends (Saturday).
- On-call coverage hours TBD.
Location:
- 100% outpatient, office based (No hospital rounds).
- Must be reliably able to commute to 231 Maple Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
