Description
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida is recruiting an additional neonatologist for our affiliate site in nearby Manatee, County. This individual will be a member of the JHACH neonatology team but practice with our dedicated provider team at Manatee Healthcare System in Manatee County, Florida. Manatee County is located along Florida’s Gulf Coast, south of the greater Tampa Bay area and just north of Sarasota. It has a population of nearly 400,000 and is one of Florida’s fastest growing counties.
Highlights include:
- The Manatee Healthcare System is comprised of two hospitals: Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
- Each hospital offers residents of Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota and the surrounding region, a wide range of medical services.
- Manatee Memorial Hospital is a 259-bed hospital with over 600 physicians, residents, and allied health professionals, offering advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. We are the county’s only Level II NICU and offer advanced technology to care for tiny and special care babies.
- The model of care is 1 week on, alternating with 1 week off (NPs are in the hospital 24/7).
- Neonatologists will also round on the level I, well newborn nursery at nearby Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC). LWRMC is a 120-bed hospital named a “Top General Hospital” nationally by The Leapfrog Group in recognition of its outstanding achievements in patient safety and quality.
- JHACH is a 259-bed teaching hospital, ranked as a U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospital in 8 pediatric specialties (2025-2026). We are ranked as the #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida for the third consecutive year and the #4 Best Children’s Hospital in the Southeast.
- The JHACH main campus has a 97-bed, Level IV NICU and has an ACGME accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program.
