Pediatric Physician
Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), a 530-bed Level I Trauma Center and safety-net hospital serving Nassau County, is seeking a Pediatric Attending Physician to join our Department of Pediatrics.
The Pediatric Attending will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient pediatric care, supervise residents and medical students, and contribute to the academic mission of our teaching hospital. The ideal candidate is committed to serving a diverse patient population and improving child health outcomes in a public hospital setting.
In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
- Supervise and teach pediatric residents and medical students
- Participate in pediatric call coverage schedule
- Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments
- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Participate in departmental academic and educational activities
We require:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Eligible for New York State medical licensure
- Strong clinical, teaching, and communication skills
- Prior experience in academic or hospital-based pediatrics preferred
